2D

This is the most common and basic type of ultrasound imaging. It produces a two-dimensional, black and white image of the fetus. It provides a structural view.

3D

Three-dimensional external images of the baby. This technique creates a three-dimensional image of the fetus by using multiple 2D images taken from different angles. It provides a more detailed and lifelike view of the baby's external features and allows for better visualization of the baby smiling, sucking their thumb, yawning, and more. 3D photos are in color.

4D/5D/HD LIVE

Three-dimensional images that are images with movement, just like watching a movie. With 4D, you can watch your baby’s facial expressions, play with their toes, and wiggle in the womb! HD is often referred to as 5D. It combines high-definition volume data with amazing color (flesh toned) and clarity allowing you to see your baby as though you were looking from inside the womb.

The term "5D ultrasound" is not a standardized or universally recognized term in the medical field. In some cases, it refers to the use of advanced image processing techniques applied to 4D ultrasound to enhance image clarity, reduce artifacts, and improve overall image quality.

HD live ultrasound is a term used to describe a type of 3D/4D ultrasound that provides exceptionally high-definition images. It utilizes advanced technology to render realistic skin tones and detailed facial features, resulting in highly detailed images that closely resemble photographs. Watch baby live!
